Swinney ranked in Top 25 CFB Coaches' Rankings |
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was listed as the #22 ranked head football coach in the nation
according to CBSSports.com.
"It took Dabo four years to get it done but in 2011 he led Clemson to its first ACC title in 20 years," CBSSports.com posted. "He's also won 42 games the last four years with the Tigers, and if he can get over the Florida State hump, he'll climb even higher." Swinney is currently 61-26 (.701) in seven seasons (six full seasons) at Clemson with a 39-14 (.736) in ACC regular-season games. Other ACC head coaches in the Top 25 included Jimbo Fisher (#8 overall), Frank Beamer (#17 overall) and Bobby Petrino (#19 overall). An interesting tidbit, Swinney and the Tigers have defeated the following highly ranked head coaches in the last few years - Urban Meyer (#2 overall), Bob Stoops (#3 overall), Les Miles (#4 overall), Steve Spurrier (#6 overall) and Mark Richt (#7 overall).
