Fox Sports released its article recently on ranking the
Top 20 college football head coaches for 2016 and Clemson's Dabo Swinney was ranked #8 overall.
"The Tigers were perennial underachievers before the infectiously upbeat Swinney transformed the program," Stewart Mandel said. "Clemson’s 14-1 record and national title game appearance in 2015 marked the latest milestone in a 56-12 run since 2011." The full Top 20 rankings were Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Gary Patterson, Mark Dantonio, Jim Harbaugh, Jimbo Fisher, David Shaw, Dabo Swinney, Bob Stoops, Brian Kelly, Bill Snyder, Chris Peterson, Les Miles, Bobby Petrino, Ken Niumatalolo, David Cutcliffe, Kyle Whittingham, Hugh Freeze, Tom Herman, and Dan Mullen.
