talked to TigerNet on Wednesday after practice about whether he is going to use the social-media phenomenon Twitter in the future.

The topic gained attention nationally after rival football coach Steve Spurrier recently joined Twitter (50,900 followers) in the beginning of March.

"I wouldn't hold your breath on that. I'm on. I was just a Twitter quitter. I wouldn't hold your breath, but you never know. Never say never," Swinney said.

Swinney used to have a Twitter account - @coachswinney but it is currently suspended, more than likely from inactivity since he has not tweeted since late in 2009.
