Clemson head coach Dabo SwinneyDabo Swinney
View Full Profile said was asked on the ACC teleconfence Wednesday if he was happy with the Clemson running game, and he said the entire offense is not what he expected at this point in the season.
"I'm not happy with anything offensively right now," Swinney said. "We are not anywhere near what we expect and what our standard is. But we have found ways to win. We just not really been able to get it going like I wanted to..continuity and all that kind of stuff. We wanted to be better than we are at this point, but it didn't work out that the way. We don't make any excuses, but we are focused on trying to have a great running game this weekend and a great finish to this season."
Swinney said there are numerous problems that have grounded the Clemson rushing attack.
"It's all across the board," Swinney said. "We just have never been able to get the chemistry and continuity like we wanted to. We still should be better than what we have played, and that's on us as coaches. Just the bottom line. So it's everything. No one particular thing."
