WATCH: Swinney teaches ESPN reporters how to go down the indoor slide |
ESPN reporters Holly Rowe and Maria Taylor were in Clemson as part of their 'Taylor Rowe'd Trip' which takes them to six top 15 college football schools in five days.
Their first stop was Clemson and of course to check out the infamous indoor slide in the $55 million Allen N. Reeves Football Complex. Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney showed them how to go down the slide correctly and explained the reasoning for the slide. "It's impossible once you go down the slide to not be happier than you were the previous three seconds," Swinney said. "You go down and you have great momentum right out to practice. Just hit it. You have to smile and you have to be happy." Taylor went down like a pro but Rowe had quite the funny tumble in the following video: Day 1 of the Taylor Rowe’d Trip off to a rousing start w/ @ClemsonFB Dabo has some ideas for our tour name (and he made us go down the slide??) @MariaTaylor7 pic.twitter.com/GtACp4KOp0 Here is another angle of Rowe's journey down the slide: Few things better than seeing @sportsiren laugh, smile & have some fun with coach Swinney. @ClemsonFB pic.twitter.com/k7hJeLN3HB Taylor Rowe’d Trip Day 1: we tried to fit in w/the best DLine in the nation & chatted up @swaggy_t1 @_austinbryant7 @llawrence2139 @cwilkins42 @arodgers_3 @renfrowhunter Interviews Coming! pic.twitter.com/LsRD5xn8kn
