WATCH: Stephen A. Smith apologizes to Clemson football team

by - Assoc. Editor -

ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith was a pretty hardcore homer for Alabama as he always would shout to the mountaintops about the play of the Crimson Tide last season.

However, he looked pretty bad after Clemson defeated his predicted champion in a blowout title win.

On Friday, ESPN's 'First Take' show was in town and it gave Smith an opportunity to apologize to the team for his repeated Alabama win predictions on television.

"I got to give you props, Smith said to the team. "I got to be a man of my word and apologize. I don't do this much but I'm going to do it today. Justyn Ross looking like the second coming of Jerry Rice. I didn't see it coming."
