WATCH: McDaniels fouled Drummond 5 times in 9 seconds |
Former Clemson standout K.J. McDaniels had one of the most bizarre NBA stat lines on Wednesday night as he played nine total seconds and had five fouls on Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond.
McDaniels fouled Drummond with 11:59, 11:56, 11:53, 11:51 and 11:51 left in the third quarter.
Andre Drummond made 13 out of 36 attempts which broke the record for free throw misses in NBA history (Wilt Chamberlain and DeAndre Jordan) in a single game. He still finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds in the 123-114 Detriot win.
In 15 NBA games this season, McDaniels has played only 59 minutes and has 21 points and 13 rebounds.
"Anything for my teammates. I know they'd do anything for me," McDaniels said after the game via the Houston Chronicle.
