WATCH: Former Clemson WR with TD catch

New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown connected with former Clemson receiver Charone Peake on 4-yard pass for Peake's first touchdown catch of the preseason Saturday night versus the Tennessee Titans:

Later in the night, the Dorman product added a tackle.

Peake was listed on the second-team depth chart earlier this week and posted 19 catches for 186 yards last season.

His play in-game seems to be following his practice performance, which was noted by NJ.com recently.

"I've been trying to take advantage of everything given to me," Peake said. "The biggest change is I feel like I'm a little bit more smarter this year. I'm understanding coverages. Understanding a lot more that's going on, rather than just what I have on a play. I understand the whole concept."

The touchdown Saturday was not Peake's first pro touchdown overall, however, as the last time he found the endzone last season on a 40-yard fumble return versus the Seattle Seahawks and in the preseason with a 17-yard touchdown pass from Geno Smith.
