WATCH: Deshaun Watson throws 29-yard TD pass to Bruce Ellington

by - Assoc. Editor -

Houston Texans rookie Deshaun Watson threw a 29-yard touchdown strike to receiver Bruce Ellington against the Patriots on Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful play as Watson looked off the safety and threw a dart to Ellington for the tightly contested score.

After the first four drives of the game, Watson is 4-for-6 for 63 yards and the passing touchdown. According to ESPN Stats and Info, Watson is just the fifth rookie quarterback to throw a passing touchdown at New England in the Bill Belichick era. The other four players were Andrew Luck, Mark Sanchez, Byron Leftwich, and Jared Goff.

The Texans are currently up 10-7 against the defending World Champions.

Former Gamecock Stephon Gilmore got his first interception with the Patriots, courtesy of Deshaun Watson throwing off his back foot.
