Clemson baseball, which ranks as high as No. 12 preseason, held its first practice Friday ahead of its series opener on Feb. 16 with William & Mary (4 p.m.).

Preseason first-team All-American Seth Beer leads a Tigers lineup returning five starters, also including Collegiate Baseball preseason second-team All-American catcher Chris Williams and Perfect Game preseason All-ACC shortstop Logan Davidson.

In the pitching rotation, Clemson faces replacing four starters, including two All-ACC reps in Charlie Barnes and Pat Krall. Reliable reliever Ryley Gilliam returns after going 3-1 with four saves and a 2.57 ERA in a team-leading 27 appearances last year.

The Tigers held court at Doug Kingsmore Stadium Friday afternoon to talk up the new season and expectations for Clemson baseball:
