by - Assoc. Editor -

The Tigers are headed to California.

Clemson (23-9) was named the No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region in San Diego, Ca. in the 2018 NCAA Tournament draw on Selection Sunday. The Tigers will face No. 12 New Mexico State (28-5) on Friday at 9:57 pm on TruTV.

Vegas odds are already in for the game and Clemson is currently a 4.5 point favorite against the Aggies according to 5Dimes.

New Mexico State had a 12-2 record in conference play and had a 1-1 record in Top 25 action. Their leading scorer is senior guard Zach Lofton who averages 19.8 ppg.

It's a decent bracket for the Tigers as they could be looking at a winnable Auburn matchup to make a coveted Sweet 16 appearance. First off, they have to worry about a talented Aggies team.

In case you were wondering, Auburn is a 10.5 point favorite over College of Charleston.

The odds for Clemson winning the entire 2018 NCAA tournament is currently set at 150/1 odds.
