Vegas odds for Clemson winning CFB title, Heisman favorites

by - Assoc. Editor -

The latest Vegas odds to win the College Football championship were released Monday and No. 4 ranked Clemson was tied with second-best odds with Ohio State (15/2) behind only defending title-holder Alabama (5/7).

Before the season, Clemson had 4/1 odds to win it all.

The Heisman Trophy odds showed that Vegas had been paying attention to Clemson's rushing attack as Travis Etienne had 40/1 odds now, previously at 100/1.

'ETN' is the first Clemson player to have four-straight 100-yard rushing games since Woody Dantzler in 2000. His 150+ yards and three scores for the second straight game joins James Conner as the only ACC player to do that in the last 15 seasons according to ESPN Stats & Info.

Clemson freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence odds jumped to 50/1 odds, previously at 100/1 odds.

Lawrence threw for 175 yards on 20-of-25 passing against the Demon Deacons, including two touchdown passes for a QB rating of 165.2.

Overall, the top Heisman candidates odds-wise currently are all signal-callers with Tua Tagovailoa, Kyler Murray, Will Grier, and Dwayne Haskins.
