UCLA junior quarterback Josh Rosen could be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft with his strong arm and natural talent.
Rosen sat down with Bleacher Report recently and shared his honest thoughts on several subjects including how hard it is for him to juggle playing football and trying to get his MBA. "Look, football and school don't go together," Rosen said. "They just don't. Trying to do both is like trying to do two full-time jobs. There are guys who have no business being in school, but they're here because this is the path to the NFL. There's no other way." Rosen was referenced by the reporter that former Clemson teammates Deshaun Watson and Artavis Scott both graduated in three years and still made it to the NFL. "I'm not knocking what those guys accomplished," Rosen said. "They should be applauded for that. But certain schools are easier than others. If I wanted to graduate in three years, I'd just get a sociology degree. I want to get my MBA. I want to create my own business. When I'm finished with football, I want a seamless transition to life and work and what I've dreamed about doing all my life. I want to own the world." In case you were wondering, Watson and Scott both graduated with degrees in communications at Clemson. I understand that an MBA is a difficult degree to acquire, but Rosen probably shouldn't downplay other student athlete's achievements in other degree curriculums. What is easy academically for one person might be the hardest struggle for another. Stay humble and keep your eye on your journey is my unsolicited advice for him.
