Tankersley runs impressive 40-yard dash

by - Assoc. Editor -

The 2017 NFL Scouting Combine had the defensive back group go through the various football drills at Lucas Oil Stadium on Monday afternoon as former Clemson cornerback Cordrea Tankersley showed off his skills to various NFL scouts and coaches.

Here is a breakdown of his physical measurables and his times in various football drills.

Before Tankersley was able to go through any of the drills, he measured in at 6'1" tall, weighed 199 pounds with 9 1/8" hands and 32 1/4" arm length.

Tankersley had unofficial 40 times of 4.47 in his first attempt and a blazing 4.40 in his second attempt (tied for fastest 6-1 or taller and tied for 5th fastest DB overall) at the 40-yard dash. This is an impressive time for Tankersley and it should cement him as one of the top cornerbacks in the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.

His agility drills included a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.32 seconds (tied for 25th among DBs) and a 3-cone drill of 7.0 seconds (26th among DBs) while he had a vertical jump of 29.5 inches (worst of all DBs) and a broad jump of 121 inches (tied for 25th among DBs).

He was also able to do 13 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press on Sunday.
