Swinney updates progress of Mike Williams and Korrin Wiggins

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney talked the media on Wednesday for the ACC Football Coaches Spring Media Teleconference and had the following update on the health and playing status of star receiver Mike Williams and safety Korrin Wiggins.

"Mike is great," Swinney said. "If we were playing a game today, he would play. He would be ready to roll. He had a great spring. He really did everything. We just didn't let him scrimmage. He did all the skellies. He did all the one on one's. He dove for balls, did flips, fell. He looks great. I thought he got his legs back under him from an endurance standpoint."

Williams had 1,030 receiving yards and 6 TDs in 2014 and 77 catches for 1,346 yards and nine touchdowns in his collegiate career.

Clemson fans will finally get a chance to see the great offensive tandem again in Mike Williams and Deshaun Watson.

"The timing of him and Deshaun (Watson) - it was great to see them come together this spring," Swinney said.

Swinney also discussed the health of safety Korrin Wiggins as he returns to playing condition from a torn ACL that he suffered back in August 2015.

"Korrin is on his way," Swinney said. "He was able to do a good bit of work after our spring break. He was able to do pretty much all the individual stuff., but we expect him to be 100% when he gets back in August for camp. So he is making progress as well."

Wiggins had 54 tackles, four tackles for loss, four interceptions and seven passes broken up in 25 games in two seasons before the injury.
