Swinney updates Kelly Bryant status after Monday practice

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney updated starting quarterback Kelly Bryant's status after Monday's practice.

"Kelly is doing really well," Swinney said on his call-in show Monday night. "He was back at it tonight and looking really good out there."

Bryant didn't practice last week while in concussion protocol and recovering from an ankle injury.

Bryant said Monday that he feels "back to normal" health-wise but did lose consciousness on the hit that knocked him out of the game, adding his ankle was at "80-85 percent" going into the first practice of the week.

Clemson co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliott said Monday that last week's practice reps were split 50-50 "for the most part" between backups Zerrick Cooper and Hunter Johnson.
