Swinney on Desmond Howard's 'finesse' comments

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney spoke to the media following his team's 63-3 whipping of Wake Forest on Saturday.

Swinney shared during the press conference that he didn't hear about ESPN analyst Desmond Howard's controversial "finesse" comments about Clemson's offense until after the win.

"Those guys got a job to do," he said about ESPN GameDay. "I guess somebody got to be the bad guy, somebody got to be the good guy. They have to create some kind of storyline. We have been able to run the football all year."

The Tigers had 471 rushing yards on the day which is the most rushing yards under Dabo Swinney and the fourth-most in school history.
