Sammy Watkins injury update

by - Assoc. Editor -

One member of WRU is not close to 100 percent.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that receiver Sammy Watkins tweeked his injured right foot during Thursday's practice.

Watkins had an MRI on his foot and "that part was OK" according to Reid.

He is officially doubtful for this week and week-to-week afterward. Some reports have suggested that he will be held out for the rest of the regular season to get completely healthy. He has missed two of the last three games.

In 2018, Watkins has 40 receptions for 519 yards and three touchdowns.

The Chiefs signed Kelvin Benjamin this week to get some depth at the position.
