Report: Former Clemson DB commits to South Carolina |
Former Clemson defensive back
Kaleb Chalmers has committed to South Carolina over Ole Miss on Wednesday according to multiple reports.
Chalmers just finished his last semester at Northwest Mississippi Juco and had 26 tackles, 13 pass deflections, and an interception during the season. The 5-foot-11, 185 pounder was dismissed from the Clemson football program in March after charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Back in his high school days, he was listed as the No. 27 cornerback in the nation by ESPN and a Shrine Bowl selection when the Tigers signed him out of Greenwood High School in 2015. He will enroll at South Carolina in January and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
