Report: Clemson in mix for grad transfer guard |
Clemson is a candidate for potential TCU grad transfer guard Jaylen Fisher, according
to the Fort Worth Telegram.
Fisher (6-2 195) has struggled with knee issues - having undergone six surgeries in three years - but averaged 12.1 points and 2.7 assists this season before shutting it down his season. TCU coach Jamie Dixon said he will work to have Fisher graduate and be in a position to transfer. “He’s taking classes this spring and we’re supporting him in every way possible,” Dixon told local reporters. “His intentions is to finish classes this spring and then see if he can continue to play. Maybe needs to go down a level to do that. “We’re with him. We’re communicating. We’re talking. Six surgeries in the last three years ... obviously there’s ups and downs, all the different things. Things may change -- how he feels, what his thoughts are, what his plans are. But, again, we’re there to support to him and help him get his degree and be there for him all the way through.” Fisher was rated as a four-star prospect and the No. 34 player overall by ESPN out of high school. He averaged 12.3 points and 5.4 assists in 17 games as a sophomore.
