After making an inquiry to Coastal Carolina University for information about the candidates considered for the head football coach position, WMBF News has obtained the list of final candidates that were narrowed down before the announcement that Joe Moglia would head the Chanticleers next season.

The final candidates to fill the head football coach position once held by David Bennett were:

Danny Pearman - Assistant Head Coach/Tight Ends, Special Teams - Clemson University
Joe Moglia - Head Coach / President, Omaha Night Hawks and Chairman of Board, TD Ameritrade
Todd Finch - Offensive Coordinator - University of South Florida
