According to a tweet by CBS' Bruce Feldman, reports linking former Miami head coach Randy Shannon to West Virginia's open defensive coordinator position are premature.

Abt the tweet linking Randy Shannon to WVU: I was just told by someone very close to that situation there has been NO talk at all.

On Monday, John Buccigross from ESPN said "Hearing Randy Shannon to WVU as DC is pretty much done."

Shannon reportedly is interested in the same position at Clemson.
