Legend Robertin injury update

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson center Legend Robertin, playing in his first game for the Tigers, was injured when he came down awkwardly on one leg in Wednesday's contest against SC Upstate. Brownell said after the game there was some swelling in the knee, but the team wouldn't know if it was serious or not until tomorrow.

Robertin is a junior college transfer, originally from England, that was just cleared by the NCAA earlier in the day. He had four points and two rebounds in eight minutes of action before getting injured.

Brownell liked what he saw out of the big man before he had to leave the game.

"I thought he did fine. He did what we think he can do," Brownell said. "He's a big tall long guy that can run the floor and alter shots at the rim. He can throw one in over a shoulder when he gets in deep. He's got to continue to work. He has a ton to learn. He's only been playing about three years and hasn't had a lot of coaching so he is a developmental big guy. But he has tools that you can't teach."
