Latest NCAA projections for Clemson Baseball |
The season is nearly complete as Baseball America released on Wednesday their
projected field for the NCAA baseball tournament field of 64 teams. Clemson in the projection played at home at the Clemson (S.C.) Regional as the #1 seed with Vanderbilt (#2 seed), Connecticut (#3 seed) and Winthrop (#4 seed).
"At the top of the field, there were some changes to the national seeds and hosts," Baseball America said. "Stanford, on an absolute tear of late and at No. 11 in the RPI, has moved into the No. 8 national seed spot, replacing Clemson, which was swept in its second straight ACC series." The national seeds were in order: Oregon State, Louisville, North Carolina, Texas Tech, Florida, TCU, Kentucky, and Stanford. The last four in the projected field were Kansas, UCLA, Florida State, and North Carolina State. The first four out were Louisiana-Lafayette, South Carolina, Coastal Carolina, and Utah. The next four out were Dallas Baptist, Loyola Marymount, Washington, and St. Mary's. D1Baseball.com had Clemson hosting the Clemson Regional with #2 seed Vanderbilt, #3 Mercer, and #4 Winthrop.
