Kearse makes the Vikings' 53-man roster |

Jayron Kearse has made it past another round of cuts on Saturday to make the 53-man roster of the Minnesota Vikings according to team officials.
Kearse has been a standout in the NFL preseason with 18 total tackles, three passes defended, and two interceptions. “It feels pretty good, just being out there, having an opportunity to go out there and show the coaches what I can do for four whole quarters,” Kearse said after Thursday night's preseason game. “It also felt good having the vets cheer me on and just talking to those guys throughout the course of the game and them having my back.” The Vikings will begin the season on Sept. 11 at the Tennessee Titans. Kearse was drafted #244 overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In 2015, Kearse was a first-team All-American by ESPN and second-team Associated Press All-American with 62 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one interception and six pass breakups.
