Cumbie was dismissed from Clemson for a violation of team rules last year. The 6-7, 290-pounder played in 36 games in his career with three starts and had 5.5 career sacks.

Cumbie lettered as a freshman in 2006 when he played in nine games, and in 2007 when he played in 13 games. He played in one game in 2008 when he suffered a broken wrist against Alabama and took and injury red-shirt season. In 2009, he played in 13 of 14 games and had 53 total tackles.
