Hawaii offers 11-year old quarterback

by - Assoc. Editor -

The college football recruiting world is a crazy place, and it just got a little more insane as the University of Hawaii offered a full football scholarship over the weekend to a fifth grader named Titan Lacaden from Kapolei, Hawaii according to his Twitter account.

"Blessed with a D1 offer," Lacaden posted. "Thank you Coach Rolo!!" @NickRolovich #Future #defendpriderock #UHWarriors

His older brother Jake just finished up his career playing linebacker for Nevada and confirmed the offer on his Twitter account. This has to be one of the earliest offers in College Football history as it is certainly the earliest that I have ever heard of.

I'm not big on more rules for college sports, but something should be done so that some of these kids can just enjoy their early school years and not grow up too fast.

The 11-year year old just finished the fifth grade at Hookele Elementary School in Kapolei.
