will transfer to the Bisons from Clemson.

Stanton played his freshman year at Clemson after prepping at Springfield High School in Springfield, Tenn., about 30 minutes north of Nashville.

Stanton, a 5-foot-10 guard, appeared in 33 games for the Tigers averaging 2.4 points in 10.7 minutes per contest. He shot 46 percent on two-point attempts and had a positive assist-to-turnover ratio.

Due to NCAA transfer rules, Stanton will have to sit out the 2011-12 season, but will be allowed to practice and travel with the team. He’ll have three years of eligibility at Lipscomb beginning in 2012-13.
