It's official as Trevor Booker has a new NBA home with the Indiana Pacers.

The former Clemson standout was waived last Wednesday by the Philadelphia 76ers but is now in a playoff push with the Pacers (35-27), which are currently fifth in the East standings.

"As we head into this final stretch of the season Trevor will add to the depth of our roster," said Pacers President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard in a team release on Saturday night. "Not only is he a solid player and a solid team player, his character fits with our team and what we are trying to accomplish."

"Philly, I appreciate my short time with you guys," Booker posted on Twitter last Wednesday, "great fans and a great future."

"Indy, let’s work!!!!" Booker added later.

The 30-year old has averaged 6.6 points and 4.7 rebounds in 51 games this season, playing 17.4 minutes per game. However, during Booker's time with the Nets this season, he averaged an impressive 10.1 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He is expected to be in uniform for the Pacers' game against the Bucks on Monday.

For his solid NBA career, he averages 7.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

The Sixers recently acquired former Hawks forward Ersan Ilyasova, and Booker was on a contract expiring next season after being traded from the Brooklyn Nets in December.

Booker was drafted as the No. 23 pick overall in the first round of the 2010 NBA draft and was sent to Washington, where he played four seasons. Booker also played in Utah for two seasons before spending the two prior years in Brooklyn.
