Former Clemson WR named among 'Fashionable 50' in sports

by -

Former Clemson wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was named to Sports Illustrated's 'Fashionable 50' list this week.

The list will be featured in an upcoming print issue of SI and was compiled by a panel of style experts. Other prominent members include Odell Beckham Jr., Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, Cam Newton, Tom Brady and Serena Williams.

Hopkins was asked who his style idols are by SI.

"Probably not famous people," Hopkins said. "There's a guy named Chelsea Raveinero from Charleston that makes his own clothing brand. And Pharrell is someone that I look up to, just because he is different and he always does collabs with other brands and none of them look the same. It is always unique and everything he does has a message to it, which is more important than just being fashionable."

The 2017 first-team All-Pro set a franchise-record with the 13 TDs and led the NFL there and also in targets (174) and receptions of 25 yards or more (17) last season, ranking third in 100-yard efforts (five) and fourth in overall yards (1,378). The Daniel product is going into his sixth season in the NFL.
