Former Clemson RB signs with the Seahawks

Former Clemson running back Zac Brooks will sign with the Seattle Seahawks to their practice squad according to multiple reports.

Brooks was previously released by the Seahawks over the summer with their abundance of depth at the running back position with C.J. Prosise, Christine Michael, Thomas Rawls, Troymaine Pope, Alex Collins, and George Farmer.

Brooks battled hamstring issues during the offseason and training camp as he only appeared in two NFL preseason games and had six carries for 17 yards and a four-yard catch.

He was drafted #247 overall by the Seattle Seahawks in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. In 2015 at Clemson, Brooks had 41 attempts for 234 yards and three rushing touchdowns and also had nine receptions for 113 yards and two scores. For his career, he had 607 yards on only 116 carries and 17 receptions for 197 receiving yards and eight total scores.
