For the season, he has completed 128 passes for 1,659 yards and 13 touchdowns with only five interceptions. Roberts is on pace with five games remaining to set single-season records at Yale for completions (227), touchdowns (22), yards (2,994) and completion percentage (65.1).
The Yale offense is averaging 46 points and more than 600 yards a game.
Roberts spoke with the Hartford Courant and talked about his decision to leave Clemson after the Bowl win against LSU.
"Clemson is a wonderful school, but it is primarily an engineering school and even though I didn't know what I wanted to do, I knew it wasn't engineering-related," said Roberts.
"So I knew I needed to take a step back, change course, attempt to become well-rounded and pursue the Renaissance man lifestyle that would enable me to dabble in all aspects and endeavors of life."
