The Miami Dolphins announced on Tuesday night that they have traded for Stephone Anthony in exchange for a 2018 undisclosed draft pick.

Anthony has recently battled an ankle injury and will get a fresh start in Miami as he will now be teammates with former Tigers Andre Branch, Cordrea Tankersley, and Byron Maxwell. The Dolphins were in need of another linebacker after suspending Lawrence Timmons indefinitely.

In 2016, Anthony started three games and finished the season with only 16 tackles.

The 25-year old linebacker has 112 tackles and also forced two fumbles, a sack and had an interception in his rookie season back in 2015.

The Saints selected Anthony with the #31st overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. He had 330 tackles, 34.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, three interceptions for eight yards, 18 quarterback pressures, 13 pass breakups, five caused fumbles and one recovered fumble during his Clemson playing days. He also was named a consensus first-team All-ACC selection his senior season with 90 tackles.
