Former Clemson defensive tackle Brandon Thompson didn't stay on the free agent wire long.

Waived by the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Thompson was picked up by former AFC North rival Cleveland, the team announced Tuesday night.

The Thomasville, Georgia, product started seven games and played in 39 with the Bengals, totaling 34 solo tackles (53 total) and three sacks.

He was drafted in the third round in 2012 and missed the 2016 season recovering from a knee injury (ACL tear).
