Former Clemson DB waived by Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they have waived veteran defensive back Marcus Gilchrist to make room for safety Doug Middleton on Wednesday.

Gilchrist was signed by the Jaguars three weeks ago.

He posted 58 tackles, with three interceptions in 2018 with the Raiders.

For his 9-year NFL career, he has registered 499 tackles, 38 passes defended, 14 interceptions, five forced fumbles, and four sacks.

The Chargers drafted him in the second round of the 2011 draft.

During his playing days (2007-2010) at Clemson, he registered 191 tackles in 53 games.
