Ex-Clemson QB Willy Korn has big hopes for NFL

Having regained his health and confidence, Korn, 23, returns to Clemson this week to chase his next football dream. He will participate in the Tigers' pro timing day Thursday, auditioning for NFL scouts.

Korn knows he is a long shot. He rediscovered his passing form at North Greenville, but he did so against the likes of Brevard and Wingate, not Virginia Tech and South Carolina.

"I'm just trying to make a team," Korn said.

If the NFL doesn't work out, Korn said he would be open to playing in the Canadian Football League, where the Toronto Argonauts hold his rights. He speaks like a man who is happy for any opportunity he gets.
