ESPN: ACC vs. SEC in I-Bowl?

The AdvoCare V100 Independence Bowl could announce a new agreement with the SEC as early as today, the Shreveport Times is reporting. The SEC would replace the Mountain West in the bowl's current contracts, which run through 2013.

The ACC is still partnered with the I-Bowl, and this would make it a more interesting and intriguing matchup for the next two years. I'll let you know if and when it becomes official, but it sounds like a confirmation should be coming soon.
