Deshaun Watson thinks Hopkins is 'definitely' the best NFL WR

by - Assoc. Editor -

Deshaun Watson might be biased but he believes strongly that his teammate DeAndre Hopkins is the top receiver in the NFL.

"DeAndre Hopkins is 'definitely' the best receiver in the NFL," Watson said to Fox Sports. "He is a guy that can make every catch, run every route, knows what the defense is doing. He proved it in and out. He's definitely the top receiver I feel like."

The All-Pro playmaker had a career-high 115 receptions for 1,572 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018. He ranked third in the NFL in receptions and second in receiving yards.

He was also first in the NFL with 81 receptions that led to first downs for his team. However, the most impressive stat by Hopkins was that he had zero drops from his 115 catchable targets on the season which broke a record (60) by Randall Cobb in 2016.
