Deshaun Watson has suffered a torn ACL and MCL on his right knee according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
According to reports, Watson went down on a normal drill running a read option play. He was taken off the field by the training staff. The right knee injury was on the different knee that he suffered a torn ACL in college. Since he suffered the injury in the middle of the season, his rehab (10-12 months) should be over before the start of the 2018 NFL season. "Texans QB fear Deshaun Watson suffered a torn ACL in practice today. A non-contact injury. MRI coming to confirm. Awful, awful," Rapoport tweeted. Watson had been on a torrid pace during his first professional season as he became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to win AFC offensive player of the month. In addition, last Sunday, Watson became the first player in NFL history with at least 400 passing yards, 50 rushing yards, and four passing touchdowns in one game according to Elias. In 2017, Watson has completed 126 out of 204 passes for 1,699 yards with 19 passing touchdowns and 8 interceptions for a passer rating of 103.0. Watson underwent surgery for torn ACL in his left knee at Clemson. He suffered torn ACL in his right knee today.
