Deshaun Watson on Clemson loss: "They're going to pick it back up" |
Houston Texans rookie quarterback
Deshaun Watson talked with NFL Network's Deion Sanders via Skype after his team's 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Sanders was impressed that the Texans had scored 30 points in their last four games which is the longest streak in franchise history. "Oh yeah, that's big," Watson said in the interview. "We always stress that every time we touch the field, we're trying to score and if we start fast and get a big jump on the other team, it's hard for that team to come back. During the interview, Sanders gave Watson a hard time about Clemson losing to unranked Syracuse. "That's not the norm," Watson said. "It was just one of those off nights. They're going to pick it back up because that's the type of culture we've got there. It ain't gonna hold us back." Watson is on pace to finish his rookie season with 40 touchdown passes and 3,458 yards. Getting that W.
