"Rick Ray has alerted Clemson that he has accepted the job to become Mississippi State's next coach. Clemson coach Brad Brownell, on Rick Ray: "This guy is a home run."

Rick Ray has been an assistant at Clemson the past two seasons and spent the previous four at Purdue.
