Clemson's odds improve for another National Championship

by - Assoc. Editor -

Clemson embarrassed Louisville 47-21 on Saturday night in a rare heavyweight clash that turned into a scrimmage as the Tigers unloaded most of their reserves to gather game experience.

The shellacking that the Tigers put on the Cardinals made Vegas oddsmakers stand up and take notice as the National Championship odds have improved for Clemson. Last week, Clemson had 14/2 odds and now the odds have moved to 11/2 (2nd best) while Alabama still has the tops odds at 2/1.

Other notables include USC odds dropping from 6/1 odds to 7/1 odds over the weekend while Oklahoma's odds have stayed at 8/1 for the second straight week.

In case you were wondering, Clemson's in-state rival South Carolina had an extremely low 200/1 odds to win the title but are now "off the board" to bet on since their embarrassing home loss to Kentucky on Saturday night.
