Clemson stays No. 4 in Coaches Poll

by - Staff Writer -

An upset-filled week didn't affect the top-four of the new USA TODAY Coaches Poll.

Clemson stayed at No. 4 after a 63-3 win over Wake Forest, while wins also kept Alabama (1), Georgia (2) and Ohio State (3) in place.

Notre Dame moved up two spots to No. 5 after a win at Virginia Tech and upsets suffered by previous top-6 teams in Oklahoma (versus Texas) and LSU (at Florida).

NC State (5-0) found a spot in the top-20 (19) after a home conference win over Boston College. They travel to Clemson for an Oct. 20 matchup.
