Clemson routs Gardner-Webb in second half to win opener

Clemson opened the 2011-2012 basketball season with a 65-44 win over Gardner-Webb on Friday night. Tiger guard Andre Young was the high scorer with 19. Tanner Smith had 6 points, 14 rebounds, 8 assists, and 5 steals. The game was tied at 29 at the half, but the Tigers outscored Gardner-Webb 36-15 in the second half.
