Clemson moves up in latest Coaches Poll

Clemson was off this week but that didn't stop the Tigers from moving one spot in the latest Amway Coaches Poll to the No. 7 ranking with 1173 points.

Clemson barely jumped Miami with having one more overall point than the Hurricanes (1172).

There were no changes in the rankings for the top six teams with Alabama, Penn State, Georgia, TCU, Wisconsin, and Ohio State.

ACC schools in the Top 25 Poll included No. 7 Clemson, No. 8 Miami, No. 13 Virginia Tech and No. 15 North Carolina State. Georgia Tech (8) and Syracuse (1) received points by the voters but missed out on being included in the rankings.

The biggest riser in the Top 25 poll was Notre Dame that jumped six spots to No. 10 in the rankings. Southern California dropped 11 spots to No. 21 overall with the 49-14 loss to the Irish.

Michigan fell 10 spots after their embarrassing 42-13 blowout loss at the hands of Penn State.
