Clemson holds steady at No. 2 in Coaches Poll |
Clemson won a hard-fought 28-26 road win against an upset-minded Texas A&M team on Saturday night.
The USA TODAY Coaches poll was released on Sunday afternoon and Clemson was still ranked No. 2 with 1481 points and three first-place votes. After the Crimson Tide and Tigers, Georgia (3), Ohio State (4) and Oklahoma (5) round out the top-5. The Crimson Tide received 59 out of 63 possible first-place votes. ACC schools in the Top 25 include Clemson (2), Virginia Tech (11), and Miami (20). The biggest risers in the poll were Oklahoma State which climbed four spots to No. 19 while Michigan State plunged 11 spots to No. 24 after their last-second loss to Arizona State. The two teams that dropped out of the polls were overrated SEC teams South Carolina and Florida.
