Clemson explains band ticket distribution |
No. 2 Clemson is currently winning 24-3 midway through the third quarter against No. 12 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia on Saturday night.
However, the Tiger Band outrage has been just as newsworthy as the cherished group was placed in the very corner and upper level of the stadium. A Clemson official spoke with TigerNet and explained that Virginia and Virginia Tech both assign opposing teams and bands tickets upper deck or upper-level tickets. In Clemson's contract with South Carolina, they agreed to assign 2,000 lower deck tickets for bands and opposing fans. Since that happens, Clemson can't sell those tickets as season tickets, so they just assign them to the away team. Hopefully, that gives more context of the band situation tonight.
