Clemson DB will need shoulder surgery |
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney spoke the media following Monday's practice and shared that redshirt sophomore
Nolan Turner will need shoulder surgery.
"Nolan Turner got hurt in the scrimmage," Swinney said. "That puts us down [depth-wise]. He was having a really good spring, and he is going to have shoulder surgery so he will be out the rest of spring. He will be back sometime this summer." Swinney said that Isiah Simmons is crosstraining heavily at nickel SAM linebacker and at safety to help with the loss of depth with Turner. In 2017, Turner played in six games and registered 11 tackles including a sack. As a senior in high school, Turner had 63 tackles and five interceptions and was named All-State as an athlete (safety and receiver).
