Christian Wilkins wins 2017 Herbie Award

by - Assoc. Editor -

There are prestigious football awards and there are fun awards such as the 2017 winners of the 10th annual Herbie Awards.

ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit released his winners of his 2017 Herbie Awards last week and Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins won the 'Ultimate Herbie Award' on ESPN's Herbie Award Show.

"He is a big-time player that has as much fun running on the field after the offense scores as he does making tackles and being able to provide leadership for that defense," Herbstreit said. "He has as much fun cheering on the backups as he does when he is playing on the field."

Wilkins has 52 tackles including nine tackles for loss, five sacks, and four pass breakups this season.
