CFB analyst: Auburn will "light up" Kelly Bryant |
The Internet is slammed full of national media pundits dissecting and analyzing all the big-time matchups this weekend.
Case in point -- CBSSports.com's analyst Barrett Sallee has an upset projection of No. 13 Auburn over No. 3 Clemson on Saturday night and even said that the War Eagles' line will "light up" Kelly Bryant in Death Valley. "With bruising running back Kamryn Pettway back from suspension to complement Kam Martin and Kerryon Johnson (if available), the full version of the running game will be at coordinator Chip Lindsey's disposal," Sallee said. "Quarterback Jarrett Stidham will unleash more of the passing game deep downfield and over the middle to Kyle Davis -- who also is back from suspension. Defensively, Auburn showed last week that it's deep, versatile and talented along the defensive line. That line will light up new starter Kelly Bryant early, and the Auburn running game will put it away late." It appears that Sallee was enthralled by Auburn's 41-7 home win over Georgia Southern. Auburn's defensive line could theoretically dominate Clemson on Saturday, but this isn't a patchwork group of inexperienced Clemson offensive lineman as they are talented, experienced, and deep. It's not like this veteran group didn't recently play in the highest stakes in winning the National Championship last season. FYI: Mr. Sallee -- Clemson's defensive line has some talent too and you probably unintentionally handed out fresh locker room material for Dabo Swinney. So lazy.
